About me

I started my life in real estate flipping houses in 1994 in Atlanta. I have always loved taking neglected houses and making them shine. I did most of the work myself, but I also had a huge amount of help from my Dad.

My first flip in Atlanta, 1994. I really should have painted that door red!

The first house I staged for someone else was for a fellow flipper down the street from a house I had renovated in Birmingham. Once my house sold, I moved the furniture and accessories down to his house, we negotiated a price, and Red Door Staging was born.

As much as I loved flipping, I slowly realized that my favorite part of each project was in the staging. Now that I am a wife and a mother of a very active 14 year old daughter, staging is a much better use of my time and talent.

philosophy

My philosophy is that staging is an integral part of the process of selling your home quickly and for top dollar. As a member of your team along with your agent, I feel responsible for getting the house to show its best and get it to market. I value the relationships I have developed with agents in Birmingham.

I really value the great relationships I have with the agents here in Birmingham.

I want to reduce the stress involved in selling your home. That's why I never charge a monthly fee for furniture rental; the fee is fixed no matter how long the house is on the market. Once your house is under contract and has passed inspection, I will move everything out and patch any holes in the walls so the house is ready for the buyers' walkthrough.
